1. Creative Arts £10,000 received from the Big Lottery 'Awards for All' helped fund the Big Draw event in North Walsham in October 2007. Artwork produced was located around the new Tourism Information Office in Cromer while it was being built. This funding source also funded the establishment of Griffon Gallery, the only art exhibition space in North Walsham and part of Griffon office. Curated by Antingham Arts, local Norfolk artists are offered free gallery space to exhibit contemporary art. The first exhibition took place at the end of January 2008, and the gallery has been in constant operation since. The 'Awards for All' Grant has also funded the Griffon Landmarks Sculpture Trail. 6. Griffon Run In partnership with Active Norfolk, Griffon organised a 5km road race in North Walsham in October 2007. 120 runners participated in this event which will become an annual event in the life of the town. Money raised is paid into the Griffon Fund Community Chest, managed by Norfolk Community Foundation. The second Griffon Run took place in October 2008 with the similar number of runners.
